Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) , The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Central Government Schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Candidates who wish to become teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in government schools can apply online once the application process starts.

• There is no upper age limit for appearing in the CTET Examination. Candidates must meet the minimum educational qualification required for teaching posts.

• For paper 1 (Class 1 to 5 Teacher) Candidates must have a 12th Pass with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.ED)

• For paper 1 (Class 6 to 8 Teacher) Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and B.Ed / D.El.Ed / Equivalent Teacher Training Course
